I am the Director and Founder of Dancer’s Dream Studio and most recently in 2021, started Daisies by DDS. Both studios and businesses are focused on nurturing the younger generation and to make dance, specifically Latin Ballroom dancing more relatable and fun. I have been teaching dance in MOE schools since 2011 as part of the MOE’s pioneer educators for PAL programme as well as CCAs in primary schools – Tap Dance and International dance. After setting up my own dance studio in 2017, a lot more focus has been done on the holistic approach of teaching dance as well as changing how people (in Singapore) look at Latin Ballroom dancing. My aim is to make Latin Ballroom dancing in Singapore as mainstream as the other dance genres that have come a long way.
